Crowns: A crown or cap covers your entire tooth. Porcelain crowns are a beautiful, natural looking solution when dental problems call for covering all or part of the tooth in order to preserve its strength and appearance. Teeth can be restored with esthetic new ceramic crowns that are sturdy, healthy, and beautiful.
Dental Implants: A dental implant replaces a missing tooth with a permanent placement of a titanium post. This post is then covered with a porcelain crown, bridge or denture. These restorations look, feel, and act like your natural teeth. Dental implants can be used to replace one tooth, several teeth or anchor a denture.
Veneers: Dental veneers can improve the appearance of your smile. If your front teeth are discolored, chipped or worn, a thin porcelain material can be designed to greatly improve the look of your teeth and smile.
Tooth Extractions: A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Extractions are performed to address a wide variety of problems, including extensive tooth decay, tooth infection, advanced gum disease, wisdom teeth impaction or orthodontic spacing reasons. We perform selected tooth extractions for our patients. If a complicated surgery is required, we partner with outstanding local specialists to perform safe, comfortable, and effective surgeries.
Bridges: Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. Dental bridges are supported by natural teeth or implants. A bridge is made up of two crowns for teeth on each side of the gap and a false tooth/teeth in between. These false teeth can be made from metal, porcelain, or a combination of these materials. Our well fitting bridges can regain the function of a missing tooth/teeth.
Whitening: Stains and discoloration can magnify the appearance of small imperfections or diminish the beauty of an otherwise beautiful smile. Over time your teeth may become dull, discolored, or deeply stained. Teeth whitening can restore your bright, youthful, white smile
Fillings: After removing cavities, dental fillings are inserted in teeth to restore the damaged or decayed tooth. Damaged and decayed enamel and dentin is removed until healthy tooth is remaining to retain the dental filling. Dental filling are mostly made of a tooth colored resin and are bonded to healthy tooth.
Dentures & Partials: Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth, and which are supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. Upper teeth or lower teeth devices are made depending on which teeth are missing. Conventional dentures are removable, however some dentures may be fixed in place. There are many informal names for dentures such as dental plate, false teeth and falsies.
Dental Bonding: Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material is applied teeth. This material restores teeth and often improves a person's smile.
TMJ: (temporomandibular joint pain) TMJ disorders include a variety of conditions that cause tenderness and pain in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). The TMJ is the ball and socket joint on each side of your head where your lower jawbone (mandible) joins the temporal bone of your skull. The lower jaw has rounded ends (condyles) that glide in and out of the joint socket when you talk, chew or yawn. The surfaces of the condyle and the socket of the temporal bone are covered with cartilage and separated by a small disk, which absorbs shock and keeps the movement smooth. The muscles that enable you to open and close your mouth stabilize this joint. Between 5% and 15% of people in the US experience pain associated with TMJ disorders, according to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research part of the National Institutes of Health. Women are more likely than men to develop TMJ disorders. In most cases, self-managed care or nonsurgical treatments alleviate TMJ disorder discomfort. However, more severe cases may need treatment with dental or surgical interventions.
